I wish you were here

To my Granny:
I wish you were here. It has been five years since you passed. It feels like yesterday though. You have missed a lot. We have a little fart that we like to call Bailey. She is a wild child just like her mommy. Mom used to always tell Steph that she hoped she had a child just like her one day and that wish came true. Unfortunately, she also has Dad's potty mouth, and she isn't even 2 yet. But, I know you would spoil her rotten if you were here. We try to make up for the most part. I finally have a boyfriend, and we have been together for over 2 years. I knew you were always worried that I would never find someone. AJ will graduate from college soon. She is all grown up. Missy is in Tennessee. I know she changes jobs like she changes underwear. Maybe this one will stick for awhile. Dad is doing better, I know you were looking down on him this last year. Uncle Rick is still single and coming for dinner every night. We are taking care of him for you. We miss you and wish you were here. But, we know you are looking over us from above with all of your brothers and sisters.

Love you always,

Merry Christmas

Ho Ho Ho Merry Christmas! I can't believe that it is already Christmas. Where, oh where, has this year gone? It just seems like it should be the beginning of 2005 not the end of 2005. I hope next year turns out better than this year. But, I shouldn't complain. I am very sure that there are people out there that are having a worse Christmas. I am greatful that we have all of the family with us this year. But, Oh my god, it will be a mad house in 2 days. I'm sure someone is going to get very grouchy. And we all know who that is. Just as long as we don't have any Grinches in the mist this year.

We wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Very Happy New Year!!

Happy Birthday to Mom! Today is my mother's Birthday. She is 54. But everyone thinks she is my sister. Some lady asked me the other day if my niece, (her granddaughter) was her baby or mine. I guess everyone thinks she looks young for her age. Well I hope she had a good Birthday. She got 2 pair of jeans and two shirts. Plus, my sisters and I got her a gift certificate for a massage or whatever she wants at the Spa in town. I hope she uses it because it cost us $120. She made the comment that she didn't want some strange woman touching her. Well if she doesn't use it I will. I need the massage after this week at work. All of my muscles are screaming from lifting so many boxes. It will probably be worse tomorrow because we are taking them to the guy to destroy them. Wish us luck that noone throws a back out.

Well mom has finally jinxed me. I have went for 4 months without getting a cold, and she had to comment that NOONE in the house was sick for over 3 weeks. Now i feel like crap. Hopefully I won't give anything to the doctor or his wife cause he just started Chemo Thursday. I will have to take one of dad's masks to work with me just incase he comes to the office tomorrow. Hopefully I won't make anyone sick. And of course it had to snow today, so the idiots in the neighborhood are messing up the hill. They jsut keep trying to run up it with their cars and making it worse. I mean how stupid can they be, if you dont make it once you probably aren't going to make it the second time. And espically not backwards, like some of them have tried. Oh well, I guess idiots are idoits and will never change.

Well I may finally get to do my real job again soon. Woo Hoo!!! Doc starts his Chemotherapy Thursday, so after that we will know if he feels up to coming back to work part-time or not. I am keeping all appendages crossed that he does. If not, I may get rusty at using the needle. And making copies is getting monotonous. But, I am not complaining because at least I still have a job. But, now on my day off, I have to go into work for half a day. So, I miss out on my extra midweek sleep. Oh well, no rest for the wicked, I guess.

Well I am finally getting some things done at work since the phone has quit ringing as much! Thank God! I thought I was going to go crazy there for a few days. But, now I am worried because my bosses went the Duke University for a consultation with a doctor there and she said she would call me every day to check in. But today is the third day and she hasn't called yet. I hope that nothing has went wrong. I know that the doughter that lives close to Duke was supposed to come up there to see them and that she was 9 months pregnant. I hope she didn't go into labor or anything. But still, you would thing that my boss would have called, because she is always calling me. The other day she called me like 10 times in one day and now nothing for days. I know I am probably just being a worrywart, just liek my granny used to be. Well maybe she will call me tomorrow. You never know maybe she jsut trusts me more and doesn't thing she needs to check on me every day. (But I doubt that).

Happy Thanksgiving Eve!
Yes I know there isn't such a thing. But, anyways. The day before Thanksgiving is more of a pain than Thanksgiving day. I worked for half of the day today, then came home and worked all evening in the kitchen preparing food for tomorrow. It is rediculous that we spend all of this time preparing for a meal that takes about half an hour to devour. At least in my family that is the case. And, Uncle Richard always has a comment about something that isn't just right. One of these days we aren't going to cook anything for him and make him fend for himself. Like the sign that Uncle Bobby gave Mom that says " Open the oven and take a look, The first to complain is tomorrows cook." If only that were true. But if it were I imagine I would be very skinny right now, cause Mom and I are the only ones who know how to cook in this houshold.

Well any was, I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving. And compliment the chef who cooks your meal this year cause I know from experience that they deserve it.
